![]() ![]() I like how it ties in the colours of the Mums.įun, right? I love coming home and being welcomed by all the cheerful fall blooms, pumpkins, and decorative touches. I mixed in a seasonal pumpkin throw pillow that I already owned with some of my classic blue outdoor pillows, and added a cheerful throw blanket with pops of pinky red tones. Plus it is the perfect size to house our pew. I repeated the same elements on either side of the door as I think this porch really suits a symmetrical look.ĪND!! Now I get to decorate our cute little front porch as well – how fun is that? I’ve never had a real front porch before, so this area is a huge bonus. It’s an inexpensive and easy switch that totally changes the look from summer to fall. This new doormat is from HomeSense – I love layering a smaller jute mat with a seasonal look overtop of my printed mat that stays out all year long. ![]() ![]() I like to keep any of my summer plants that will last into the fall, and then bring in some seasonal touches to transition the porch to Autumn. Then I added some winter pansies to my bigger pots to fill them and popped a couple of cute mini pumpkins in each. I just hope I can make them last a few weeks as I love the bright welcoming colour they add. Happiness is when the Mums come out… though it does seem like they’re coming out earlier and earlier every year. I’ve still got my ferns going strong from the summer and I love the contrast of them with the natural orange pumpkins. We painted it in Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace. I love how all the simple but colourful plants and pumpkins look against the bright white backdrop of our house. I also chose simple modern exterior lighting, and we did quite a few pot lights in our soffits, so the house looks really pretty at night as well. I shared my DIY wreath tutorial made with dried florals a couple of weeks back – I love how it looks on our new door… It is one of my favourite features about our exterior and I’m really glad we went with the oversized door and so much glass. We also did an 8 foot door with glass divisions and matching glass sidelites. We went with all white board and batten and black exterior windows.
